Matt Brown

Matt began his career with Plants Creative in August of 2018. He started his landscape career in 2003 working at a historic home and garden as a grounds assistant. He learned the majority of his horticultural knowledge from the horticulturist, designers, botanists, and landscape architects he worked with at this historic garden. After that he worked as an Operations Manager and an Account Manager at another landscape company, where he learned the art of production and management. Most recently, he was a Estate Manager for a very large private estate where he managed every aspect of the landscape division for this estate.

Outside of landscaping, Matt has had a varied and broad work life prior to entering into the landscape industry. After high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and worked on deep sea tankers for a while and literally circumnavigated the globe. He's been to Antarctica (McMurdo bay to be exact) and has lived all over the country from coast to coast.

In his spare time, he likes spending time with family, traveling, and adventure sports, like hiking, biking, kayaking, and pretty much anything to do with the outdoors. You can usually find him studying or trying to learn all sorts of new things.
